The Reason for Division

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look mismatched, but the developments of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.

The traitor then settled his debts and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in search of Casimir.
